Infusions & Injections

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved Semaglutide injection in 2014 for chronic weight management in adults with obesity or overweight.
Tirzepatide is a novel dual glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide / glucagon-like peptide-1 (GIP/GLP-1) receptor agonist that activates the body’s natural incretin hormones to decrease food intake and modulate fat utilization. Sympathomimetics are FDA-approved for short-term weight loss when other therapies have not worked or cannot be tolerated. Sympathomimetic drug works by decreasing appetite and increase energy expenditure. Changes to diet and exercises are recommended with this medication.
